NEW: For Public Comment
Baltimore Zoning Code - April 2010 Draft !!!
The City of Baltimore Department of Planning is excited to announce the release of the draft zoning code for your review!
TransForm Baltimore: The Zoning Code Rewrite is part of the implementation of LIVE EARN PLAY LEARN: A Business Plan for a World Class City. TransForm Baltimore is a city-wide effort to develop a state-of-the-art zoning code that features new and more effective zoning tools that support and guide City investment, enhances and protects neighborhood character, and guides private development. Over the past two years we've been working hard with our consultant Camiros, countless work group meetings, open houses and presentations and Zoning Advisory Committee meetings, to gain input and formulate this draft zoning code.
The Baltimore Zoning Code: April 2010 Draft is the 1st draft of the Baltimore Zoning Code. This is an actual draft of the new code that we are asking public comment on in preparation for a second draft to come later this year. This draft updates many sections of the existing code with some new zoning districts, design guidelines, more charts and graphics. It does not include any mapping of those districts other than the design sub-districts for the Central Business District.
